About Us
Melynda DeWitt is the sole owner and principle officer of The Next Generation
Child Development Center, Inc., serving as the Administrator and
Facility Operation Manager.
Mrs. DeWitt
has both the educational background and relevant
work experience necessary to
effectively perform the duties required of an
administrator of a childcare center. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Criminal
Justice and Psychology from Fairmont State College.
During her college education, Mrs. DeWitt studied
developmental appropriate practices and various
family/child issues. She then spent 10
years in the field of social work managing
transitional residential facilities for homeless
individuals with mental illness. Mrs. DeWitt
also has experience in staff training and
management, rapid responses to changing
environments, and rent collections.
Additionally, Mrs. DeWitt provided personal
development and counseling for the residents to
improve their self-esteem through simple daily
living skills such as laundry, cooking, personal
hygiene, and interpersonal relationships.
Furthermore, Mrs. DeWitt has extensive knowledge of
government regulation and policy in regard to
operations of state-licensed facilities.
This unique combination of social work and business experience
possessed by Mrs. DeWitt provides the necessary balance to operate a profitable
childcare center, but the most important quality that she brings to TNG is the dedication to providing a safe, caring, yet stimulating environment for children to grow both
mentally and physically.
TNG is fortunate to have received many accolades and recommendations
from the parents of the children in our care. Below is a link to testimonials from a few of these parents.
